The 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund officially kicked off as the finalists gathered on Tuesday at Vogue’s New York offices for the designer breakfast presentations. In front of Selection Committee featuring some of fashion’s most formidable names (ie. Anna Wintour, Mark Holgate, Chioma Nnadi, Steven Kolb, Aurora James, Roopal Patel, Eva Chen, Sam Lobban, Paloma Elsesser, Nick Molnar, and Thom Browne), this year’s designers selected five looks that best speak to their brand for the presentation.

It is the first of many events over the course of the program where this year’s finalists (Angelo Fabricio Urrutia, 4SDesigns; Colin LoCascio; Rachel Scott, Diotima; Kim Shui; Kozaburo Akasaka, Kozaburo; Melitta Baumeister; Sami Miro, Sami Miro Vintage; Fletcher Kasell and Tanner Richie, Tanner Fletcher; Everard Best and Téla D’Amore, Who Decides War; and Henry Zankov, Zankov) will compete for a top prize of $300,000 and a year-long industry mentorship.
