On Wednesday, Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet reopened its Madison Avenue flagship with a theatrical redesign by Sugarhouse Design & Architecture. The revived Upper East Side space, first introduced more than a decade ago, now embodies what Bendet calls “a stage for imagination, community, and discovery.”
The façade, cloaked in Benjamin Moore’s iconic Heritage Red, nods to both the building’s historic roots and the designer’s maximalist flair. The relaunch invited guests into an environment that celebrates craftsmanship, color, and fashion.
Inside, Sugarhouse’s surrealist vision unfolds across layers of texture and history. A turquoise Kellen Leather table by Mexican artisan Mike Díaz anchors the space, paired with a Verner Panton Clover Leaf sofa in cerulean mohair and brass-footed lion’s seats that frame the room like art objects.
Every corner feels both playful and precise, reflecting Bendet’s long-standing mission to merge storytelling with style.
Beyond its visual transformation, the flagship now functions as a cultural hub. Beginning this fall, the store will host rotating activations spotlighting emerging designers and creative collaborators, from BROdenim to Farmer’s Daughter.
This Madison Avenue flagship reaffirms Bendet’s place at the intersection of fashion, art, and design—inviting visitors to step inside a world where everyday life feels just a little more extraordinary.
Bendet celebrated the opening in style and with friends such as Nicky Hilton, Isabella Briggs, Dylan Lauren, Emily Rockefeller and Amy Fine Collins.
