Inbal Dror Fall 2020 Bridal

Inbal Dror has always been a sexy wedding dress faithful. For Fall 2020 Bridal, nearly every look had a sheer element—a transparent sleeve here, a mesh bustier there, or, in one case, a completely unlined bodice with a plunging neckline that descended to the waist. The offerings left little to the imagination, but lots to ogle in the form of pearls, beads, and 3-D appliqués. A standout was a strapless ballgown of dotted tulle with a floor-skimming skirt that cascaded into a swirl of white feathers. While more traditional nuances, like sweet lace, got sizzling makeovers.

The shimmer and shine radiating off the bedecked and bedazzled dresses was Dror’s way of creating a halo effect, as the collection drew its inspiration from the angelic accoutrement. A testament to her light hand, the lineup of intricately embellished looks had a gossamer feel as they floated down the runway. Every model wore their own gilded crown, which took on new (and very now) guises in the form of wiry jeweled headbands by Keren Wolf.

Dror brought her signature va-va-voom aesthetic to what she called “VIP” silhouettes – think curve-skimming shapes with nipped-in waists and, most importantly, strategic ruching at the back. “It gives you a little lift,” she said backstage. After all, even the most heavenly bodies will stand to benefit from Dror’s divine touch on the big day.
