Hellessy Pre-Fall 2021

This season, CFDA member Sylvie Millstein paid homage to the beauty of a new kind of New York City. Designed with a 24-hour wardrobe of a stylish New Yorker in mind, the collection is made for a life filled with outdoor living and intimate entertainment, rather than business meetings and glamorous events. Sweaters, denim, and silk sets that comprise the Pre-Fall 2021 collection give effortless glamour to the everyday, for the woman that isn’t willing to compromise her sense of style.

To debut the new collection, Millstein teamed up with favorite 90s model Christina Kruse, a process that Millstein called “a dream come true.” Since witnessing the model walk the 1997 Helmut Lang runway, Kruse has been engraved within Millstein’s mind. Photographed at the Inn at Irving Place, one of Millstein’s favorite spaces in the city, the model is the perfect muse for this season’s collection.

“During that supermodel era Christina really stood out as a different kind of beauty, one that exudes power and substance, and stands the test of time and trends,” said Millstein. “She embodies perfectly what the Hellessy woman is about, not only as a model and how she photographs, but also in real life, as mother, artist, European transplant embracing the downtown New York lifestyle.”
