“It’s Moulin Rouge meets the museum,” one reveler said at Wednesday’s Grit to Glamour gala at Crystal Bridges Museum of Art.

Indeed, the event’s dinner space was decked out in lush red pieces and flooded in red light, adding a certain Burlesque vibe to the affair. It set the perfect tone for the boldface crowd that had descended on Bentonville, Arkansas for occasion.

Among the revelers toasting Museum Chairperson Olivia Walton were Steven Kolb, Christy Turlington, Karlie Kloss, Seth Meyers, Tracy Reese, Arianna Huffington, Bethann Hardison, Tommy Hilfiger, Stuart Vevers, Aurora James, Omar Salam, Fe Noel, Brett Heyman, Barbara Bush, and Lizzie Tisch.

It was a high wattage fête, or, as another guest put it, “The Met Gala of the Heartland.”
