Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Australia/New Zealand’s awareness campaign kicked into high gear this month. Designer Karen Walker created a limited edition FTBC T-shirt with 60 percent of proceeds of each sale on www.theiconic.com going directly to the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. “What I love about the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign is that this is the charity of choice for the fashion industry and Garvan is leading the way,” Walker, who hails from New Zealand, said. “It is ahead on a global scale, not just on the Australian scale. Think of it like this, you go to dinner with nine of your girlfriends, one of you will be diagnosed with breast cancer.”
