Designer Kai Petty founded Fifth & Welshire with generations of inherited family lessons. The brand is a tribute to her mother and grandfather, who taught her how to create bespoke pieces for each of her special life events, including her own wedding.

Petty’s second collection was inspired by the strength of women who persevered during the pandemic and (safely) moved forward with their special day. Staying true to the brand ethos, the Fall 2021 collection offers a small collection of modern bridalwear classics that can be worn again, like two-piece separates including a sharp blazer and beautiful contemporary dresses with clean lines.

As part of her business model, a small production allows designer Petty to do releases throughout the year in what she considers a “ready-to-wear approach to bridal wear” for that special moment, and the many more to come.
