Fifth Annual Blue Jacket Fashion Show Goes Virtual

February 2, 2021

The signature Blue Jacket returns for its fifth moment on the runway in a digital iteration at 7:00pm EST on Thursday. Designer Frederick Anderson’s initiative raises funds for the ongoing fight against prostate cancer, the second leading cause of cancer death in American men.

February 4 marks World Cancer Day, and the program will feature virtual one-on-one discussions with leading celebrities and fashion, and medical and research experts with a new emphasis on racial disparities and underserved communities. The behind-the-scenes glimpses into their personal lives aim to inspire viewers to take charge of one’s own health and treatment.

“I started this event so men can have an open conversation and dialogue about our bodies,” said Blue Jacket Fashion Show Founder Frederick Anderson. “The goal is to defeat the stigma so men will be able to take their prostate health more seriously.”

Featured designers include CFDA members Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Thom Browne, and Nick Graham who will reimagine the traditional “blue jacket” that participants will then model in their own unique ways. Participants include industry icon André Leon Talley, actor Billy Porter, TV personalities Mike Woods, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Don Lemon and Bill Nye, and more.
