Fashion for ACLU Spotlight: Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia

September 12, 2017

Husband-and-wife duo Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia, who launched their label in New York in 2009, originally hail from India—and as immigrants to our country feel very passionate about the ACLU. We checked in with the pair about Fashion for ACLU and why this is so important to them,

Why is it so important to you to participate in Fashion for ACLU?

We are immigrants for beginners.  This hits close to home. Fashion has given us this platform where we can be a voice to so many who have been silenced in our currently political environment.

* What personal message do you hope to convey by taking part in the initiative

We want to show the world that the fashion world is nothing without the inclusion of talents from all over the world. The Sachin & Babi team includes people from around the globe and the diversity of our team is one of our main pillars for success.

How do you plan to use/wear the ribbon?

Social media, and at the end of the show.
