Inspired by the events of this year, Emily Burnett is using her latest collection to inspire togetherness.
With her label Burnett, the luxury womenswear label teamed up with acclaimed artist Rewa to paint two life-size images of Burnett runway looks, using past collection images as inspiration. The London-based portrait painter masterfully depicts dynamic women of color in acrylic and ink, utilizing a vibrant mosaic tile of colors to create rich skin tones.
The Burnett team digitized the collaborative artwork to create the limited-edition series of garments that are presented and launched in conjunction with Black History Month and the American Collections Calendar. Produced with 100% viscose and locally made in New York City’s garment district, the collaboration is a wonderful celebration of collaboration during an uncertain time.
