With less than two months to go before the New York Fashion Week: Men’s fall-winter 2016 shows, Dockers has announced that it will return as a sponsor and underwriter of Platform 3 which focuses on new talent at Skylight Clarkson North, the official NYFW: Men’s venue.

This season, scheduled from Feb.1-4, Platform 3 will feature eight designers: five new names and three who return for a second time. The lineup consists of Brett Johnson, Devon Halfnight LeFlufy, Kenneth Ning, Second/Layer, Stampd, Engineered for Motion, Gypsy Sport and Ricardo Seco.

“Last season, we had an amazing turn-out,” said Gypsy Sport ‘s Rio Uribe. “It’s such a great opportunity to be included in NYFW: Men’s alongside the big menswear brands. This means more eyes on my brand, more buyers, more exposure. It’s such a huge help for a young designer.”

As Donrad Duncan of EFM put it, “Being part of the first NYFW: Men’s was a huge honor for us and we are delighted to be asked back for the second season. The emerging designer platform was a real launching pad for our business and the relationship is continuing to help us evolve as a brand.”

Dockers will kick off the show week by hosting the opening launch party Monday, Feb.1—the event will celebrate the designers and the iconic American brand’s 30th anniversary.

“The Dockers brand is excited to return as a founding sponsor of New York Fashion Week: Men’s and once again provide emerging designers the platform to amplify their passion,” said Lisa Collier, Dockers’ Executive Vice President and President. “We believe success is a reflection of intent and are proud to stand by these individuals as they begin their journey.”
