Dennis Basso Spring-Summer 2021 Look 1

Pale shades of lavender, baby pink, sky blue, mint, and crisp white – all colors that served as a starting point for designer and CFDA member Dennis Basso. The designer turned to his own garden as inspiration for his most recent collection – think life imitating art.

Basso’s fabrics and textures mirrored the delicacy of a seasonal bloom: silk crepe de chine and lace like pink peonies for flowing caftans and ankle-length dresses; double georgette and chiffon-like hydrangeas for evening, and wide-leg trousers and slim evening dresses, for example, and the inclusion of signature Basso fur in sheared mink in cropped jackets.

It’s an ode to spring and a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be.
