It’s that time of year again! Our new CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund class is in L.A. for the annual runway show at the Chateau Marmont. This is the last stop for the 2017 finalists before a winner will be announced at the November 6th gala. We caught up with the 10 finalists as they get ready for the show at The Jeremy hotel in West Hollywood.
You’re staying at The Jeremy Hotel, what’s the one thing you always order from room service?
Victor Glemaud: Tequila!
What’s your favorite thing about LA?
Christopher Bevans: I love to drive so I actually don’t mind the traffic. I have a friend who has cool cars and he lets me borrow them. And the weather.

Telfar Clemens: Myself, my do-rag, and my toothbrush
The Jeremy Hotel is on Sunset Boulevard. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the iconic Hollywood Street?
Matthew Harris: Sunshine, celebrities, and Hollywood.
If you could dine with any Hollywood icon who would it be?
Jordan Askill: Nicole Kidman!
What are you most excited about for the CVFF runway show?
Ahlem Manai-Platt: To see all the brands together.
If you could see your designs worn by anyone who would it be?
Becca McCharen-Tran: Bjork!
Any advice to young and emerging designers?
Eli Azran: You can’t just dream it, you have to be persistent and determined. Dreaming is the easy part.
What can you tell us about the collection you’ll be showing on the CVFF runway? Any specific inspiration you can share?
Sandy Liang: My neighborhood is a constant source of inspiration for me and it’s always changing. I’m excited to see different collections shown together.
Do you have a favorite Hollywood style moment?
Patric DiCaprio, Bryn Taubensee, David Moses and Claire Sully: Yes! That gold Amex dress from the Golden Globes.
