Sun-drenched New York City views became even more dazzling with the A-list talent that turned out to celebrate Thursday’s announcement of the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards nominees and honorees.

Anna Wintour, Gilles Mendel, Rachel Roy, Adam Selman, Pamela Love, Samantha Orley, and Simon Doonan were  among the crowd gathered to ring in this year’s roster of America’s best and brightest designers.

Held at Ramscale Studios, an iconic penthouse high above the Hudson River, the room was almost as impressive as the guest list with a wall of hanging Swarovski crystals and fragrant florals.

The CFDA Fashion Awards in partnership with Swarovski will be held on June 5^th, and are regarded as one of the year’s biggest nights in fashion.

“This is the Oscars of fashion,” said Menswear Designer of the Year nominee Todd Snyder. “It’s a true honor to be a part of it. It’s really a dream come true.”

Our Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg provided some insights into the board meeting earlier in the day, during which the nominees and honorees were determined. “It was really like a family,” she said. “Everybody was screaming and yelling. By the end, we all needed a couple of shots of vodka.” With such a lively kickoff, this awards season will be one you won’t want to miss!
