Colm Dillane is bringing his storytelling to print. The Brooklyn-born founder of KidSuper partnered with Rizzoli to release “The Misadventures of KidSuper”—a manifesto blending memoir, design manual, and creative philosophy.
At its core, the book is a testament to pursuit over perfection. “The book isn’t about me,” Dillane writes. “It’s about ideas—and what happens when you chase them off cliffs.”
Structured as a field guide for dreamers, the volume unfolds through 12 “misadventures,” 11 Rules of Design, and candid dialogues with figures like Ronaldinho, Andrew Schulz, and former Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke.
Across hundreds of sketches, handwritten notes, and process ephemera, Dillane captures KidSuper’s inception in a Brooklyn basement and its success at New York and Paris Fashion Week.
With Rizzoli’s release, he transforms his journey into a transparent, actionable philosophy for a new generation of makers unafraid to blur boundaries between art, fashion, and play.
