The People’s Runway is returning to Brooklyn Borough Hall, with CFDA member Colm Dillane of KidSuper launching an open call for five emerging fashion designers from Brooklyn.

The selected designers will each receive a $5,000 grant, mentorship from fashion industry leaders, and the opportunity to present their work at The People’s Runway. The open call is available to Brooklyn residents aged 18 and older.

“As someone who got my start in fashion just a few blocks from Brooklyn Borough Hall, it means a lot to return and help create opportunities for the next generation of designers,” Dillane said. “Brooklyn is home to so much creative talent, and I encourage aspiring designers to take a chance, apply, and share their work at The People’s Runway.”

The application closes on July 12th, 2026.
