Over the last 15 years, Clare Vivier has built her accessories label Clare V. into a brand with a cult following. Now, the designer is celebrating how she got there.

The CFDA member has teamed up with Rizzoli for a new book, La Vie de Clare V.: Paris Chic/L.A. Cool, which celebrates her past. The Minnesota-born, Los Angeles based designer, pays homage to her global lifestyle by leaning into the brand’s mix of bohemian French chic and relax American prep aesthetic.

The hardcover book incorporates all people, places, and things that have inspired Clare and her brand. Replete with collages of iconic bags and accessories, mood boards, selfies, personal photographs, and anecdotes from friends such as Melissa McCarthy and Adam Scott, the book is filled with vibrant images that define the Clare V. brand.

“I’m excited for the world to get their first look at this comprehensive book on the history of Clare V. and all of its colorful, joyful glory from LA to Paris, and back again. I love books, and I’ve always wanted to put our story on paper to give people an inside look at the brand’s heritage, and what inspires us. I’m proud of what we’ve put together and I can’t wait to share our story with the world,” the designer said.

The book also includes a foreword by model Christy Turlington and an afterword by comedian Jimmy Kimmel. If the designer’s infamous Los Angeles sample sale is any indication (an event that just last month attracted 3,800 people and has generated more than $1 million in sales), the book is sure to go flying off the shelves.
