Christie’s New York presents an auction featuring items from The Devil Wears Prada 2, with proceeds benefiting the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

The online auction—conceived of and supported by Meryl Streep—will take place from September 1–15 on Christie’s website and will feature apparel, accessories, and jewelry. A free public exhibition of select auction highlights will also be on view at Christie’s New York, located at 20 Rockefeller Plaza, from September 8–13.

In addition to the online sale, Christie’s, in collaboration with the CPJ and CFDA, will host an invitation-only cocktail reception and live charity auction on September 10 during New York Fashion Week. The evening will feature additional fashion pieces and exclusive film-inspired luxury experiences, with proceeds benefiting the Committee to Protect Journalists and the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund via the CFDA Foundation Inc.

Christie’s International Head of Handbags, Rachel Koffsky Parker, will serve as charity auctioneer.

“The charitable auction of looks and experiences tied to The Devil Wears Prada 2 allows bidders to share the excitement and energy of this terrific depiction of the fashion industry all while contributing to important causes that play a starring role in the film’s narrative – fashion and journalism. The CFDA is grateful to Disney and the film’s producers for their support of this auction which recognizes CFDA’s important efforts to strengthen creativity and next-generation talent with mentorship, resources, and business grants via the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund,” Steven Kolb, CEO and President of the CFDA, said.

Highlights from the online auction include the Gabriela Hearst Niki Dress worn by Anne Hathaway’s character Andy Sachs, Meryl Streep’s character Miranda Priestley’s Dries Van Noten tassel jacket, Valentino Garavani Rockstud pumps, and Dolce & Gabbana looks worn during the film’s Milan fashion show sequence, and Lady Gaga-worn Feather Dress by BAD BINCH TONGTONG by Terrence Zhou for the “RUNWAY” music video.
