The 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards marked the CFDA’s new partnership with DHL.

DHL, the world’s leading logistics provider, will now serve as the CFDA’s official logistics partner. The partnership includes DHL’s collaboration with Accenture on a study investigating the future of the fashion industry’s logistic operations. The study is aimed to help fashion designers utilize global supply chains and shipping networks to improve customer experience and enhance branding.

“We are thrilled to be working with CFDA as a way to help industry players – from emerging designers to fashion industry leaders – find ways to strengthen their global reach and ensure they can meet the continually evolving and highly demanding needs of designers, manufacturers and consumers,” said Christine Nashick, Chief Marketing Officer for the Americas Region at DHL Express.

Additionally, DHL will offer CFDA Conversations, aimed to describe different facets of CFDA membership. DHL will also host informal “office hours” with CFDA members to generate an ongoing conversation on their global expertise in e-commerce and logistics. These office hours include the emergence of a DHL logistics award, which will be granted to one emerging designer who will receive one year of discounted shipping rates and DHL mentoring in importing and exporting services.

“The CFDA is committed to helping our members expand their businesses globally,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. “Those efforts will accelerate greatly through our new partnership with DHL, which will aid both emerging and established brands alike.”
