While it may be true that the pandemic that devastated the world has hit New York especially hard, one thing is for sure: New York is not dead. Our city is known for its infectious energy and great style, and also the resilience of its inhabitants. Need proof? Look no further than Tiffany Pollard. The TV personality that we’ve come to know and love after stints in VH1’s Flavor of Love and I Love New York is the quintessential New Yorker – so much so that she even earned the nickname “New York” by rapper Flavor Flav.

Known for her unapologetic nature and fiercely independent spirit, there was no better subject to match the energy of the city. For her PAPER cover as part of the publication’s ‘America’ issue, the CFDA chose a select group of New York’s best designers to show the city is both strong – and fabulous.
