In partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the CFDA awarded over $750,000 to seven garment manufacturers for the fourth round of FMI Grant Program. The program is designed to support local manufacturing and promote growth in the City’s fashion industry.

The 2016-17 FMI grant recipients are Create-A-Marker, Funtastic Furs, HC Contracting, New York Binding Co., New York Embroidery Studio, and Zoila’s Sample Room.

Each grant recipient will receive financial awards for equipment, software, infrastructure upgrades and workforce training to increase business capacity, generate economic growth, and to create and preserve jobs within New York City’s fashion industry.

Between the CFDA, NYCEDC and our FMI partners — Andrew Rosen and Theory, the Ralph Lauren Corporation, and the Coach Foundation among others –  over $2.3M has been awarded to 22 garment manufacturers since FMI’s launch.
