As Fred Segal puts the final touches on its new 22,000 square foot global flagship on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, which opens this month, the CFDA is excited to unveil details of a groundbreaking partnership with the West Coast retail icon.
It revolves around a shop-in-shop concept that launches with a “The CFDA Loves LA” theme featuring the best merchandise from member labels A Peace Treaty, Adam Lippes, Anndra Neen, Ashley Pittman, Colette Malouf, Monogram, Nanette Lepore, Ovadia & Sons, St. Roche, and Whit through the end of October.
From November through the end of December, the shop will celebrate a holiday theme with Cynthia Rowley, Deborah Marquit, Derek Lam, Gigi Burris Millinery, Kenneth Cole, M. PATMOS, Mansur Gavriel, Prabal Gurung, Title of Work, Todd Snyder and Tim Coppens.
“CFDA has over 100 members in LA,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. “The city is an important cultural and creative center and with The CFDA Loves LA capsule, we wanted to celebrate that.”
Fred Segal is giving CFDA Members the opportunity to put forth product they believe in that reflect their brand ethos. Select designers such as Lepore and St. Roche are creating exclusive product for Fred Segal.
CFDA is also working with Fred Segal to create experiential opportunities for designers to connect with consumers—look out for trunk shows, networking events or other collaborations.
CFDA was introduced to Fred Segal through its existing relationship with CAA.
“Fred Segal is thrilled to be working in collaboration with the CFDA to present fashion’s most exciting and celebrated American designers,” said Allison Samek, Chief Executive Officer. “It is an incredible honor to be their retail partner on the West Coast. Since 1961, Fred Segal has been the international fashion destination in LA and we now have the opportunity to showcase the greatest design talent that America has to offer.”
