In celebration of Black History Month, the CFDA created a three-part video series celebrating the careers of African-American CFDA members Jeffrey Banks, Tracy Reese, and Maxwell Osborne. The three videos launch on the CFDA YouTube channel February 18, 19 and 20 respectively.
Featured below are current CFDA board members Jeffrey Banks and Tracy Reese, who both turned their childhood love for clothes making into multimillion dollar eponymous brands, as well as Maxwell Osborne, which will be released tomorrow, one-half of the brand Public School which won the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and the 2013 Swarovski Award for Menswear. In each video, the designers provide insight on how they built their respective brands and share advice for emerging designers.
