CFDA and Google’s Fashion Fellowship Returns with Five American Brands

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is pleased to announce the second edition of the Fashion Fellowship with Google.

The grant program connects the leading technology company’s resources and knowledge directly to designers and their brands, awarding each recipient with $60,000 to support their NYFW September 2026 collection and showcase preceded by a year of mentorship, education, and collaboration with Google’s team of product experts and innovation leaders.

The five participating brands are:

ECKHAUS LATTA, Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta
JANE WADE, Jane Wade
ZANKOV, Henry Zankov
TANNER FLETCHER, Fletcher Kasell and Tanner Richie
SERGIO HUDSON, Sergio Hudson

Each designer will work directly with the Google team to learn best practices for designing products that work for the world and ways to apply these principles to their own fashion design process. The designs created out of this program will be unveiled in their spring 2027 collections.

The second year of the CFDA & Google Fashion Fellowship will also feature several product collaborations with the Google team to bolster the relationship between brands and the building for everyone ethos through the lens of both hardware and software.

Program goals will be met through two tracks, including end-to-end practice through ideation, UX, user testing and marketing, and by connecting product teams directly to participating brands.

“Google is excited to bring together the magic of Google products with the innovation and creativity of this cohort of designers,” Annie Jean-Baptiste, Google’s Products for All director, said. “We’re looking forward to helping these fashion innovators create collections for everyone.”

The in-person and virtual fellowship is effective immediately and will run through fall 2026.
