Celebrating #cfdaearthday

April 20, 2017

Victoria Urso

Marking Earth Day this coming Saturday, a full day of events at the Wythe Hotel will be taking place to bring awareness to conscious consuming.  CFDA Members Melissa Joy Manning, Pamela Love, Mara Hoffman, WHIT’s Whitney Pozgay, SVILU’s Britt Cosgrove and Marina Polo, and Scosha Woolridge of SCOSHA all support Conscious Consuming and will participate in the day’s lineup.  The goal of the day’s events is to influence change and empower others to take action to protect the earth as we know it.

Also in honor of Earth Day, Eileen Fisher will be holding events at two of the brand’s Canada stores.  An early morning yoga session will be held in Toronto, while a pop up shop with Joy Drop featuring Love Heals product will be staged in Calgary.

Meanwhile, Amour Vert, founded by Linda Balti, will plant a tree for every person who posts a picture of a tree on Instagram with the tags @AmourVert and #PlantATreeAV. To date, Amour Vert, together with American Forests, has planted over 130,000 trees.

Furthermore, Kenneth Cole, who is the recipient of the inaugural Swarovski Award for Positive Change at this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards, is kicking off a partnership with Goodwill to help customers donate clothing and home goods and recycle shipping boxes that usually get thrown out. The company has also gotten involved with NOCO, to address the social, industrial and agricultural impacts of the fashion industry.

Honor Planet Earth by using the hashtag #cfdaearthday!
