#CADILLACxPSNY: The XT5 and Public School Hit Dubai

What were Hannah Bronfman, Nick Wooster, Vashtie Kola, Mia Moretti, Eugene Tong, Leah Chernikoff and Sarah Leon doing in Dubai this week? They were all in the desert oasis to check out Cadillac’s 2017 XT5, the Public School Pre-Fall collection, and a limited edition #CadillacxPSNY Collection featuring sneakers, sweatshirts and hats, alongside special pieces Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne designed with Tumi.

The design duo and Cadillac are no strangers. In September, Cadillac hosted Public School’s Spring-Summer 2016 fashion show at its SoHo headquarters. It’s just one way in which the car maker supports the industry. Cadillac also also supported the launch of CFDA’s New York Fashion Week: Men’s, for example

Public School’s runway show took place in Dubai’s Design District and marked the first time Chow and Osborne staged a show in the Middle East.

It’s been a busy time for Chow and Osborne. In addition to the Dubai celebrations, they are putting together the next collections for their own label and for DKNY, where they serve as creative directors. And if that wasn’t enough, Chow and Osborne are now curators too. They have picked pieces for the upcoming Prints and Multiples sale at Sotheby’s New York, set for Nov. 23-24. Their selections will be shown at the Sotheby’s fourth floor galleries. “We want to treat the space differently than what everyone who goes to Sotheby’s expects,” Osborne told Sothebys.com, which features more information on the sale and an interview with the designers.
