CFDA member Bonnie Young’s memories of the 90s scene of young artists, musicians, and creatives in empty downtown warehouses makes her yearn for that time that of creativity, edge, and innovation – which could only come from vital in-person connectivity to our community.

When it comes to looking ahead though, “gritty, yet sleek, and vibrant” were the words that come to Young’s mind when thinking about a post-Covid New York City. Her new collection dressed sharp via cherry red leather trenches with pointed shoulders and tailored blazers and coats. She loves color and movement like her city and sports pleated skirts, lace dresses, oversized knits, always finishing the look with a pair of sunnies.

The designer also launched Project Plaid to help provide blankets for NYC’s homeless community by using profits of the collection. The Bonnie Young future is nigh and bright.
