After captivating fashion with her sentimental menswear, Emily Adams Bode Aujla is expanding into women’s.
The Parsons School of Design graduate quickly rose to the top of the menswear industry, most recently taking home the Menswear Designer of the Year trophy at the 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards in Partnership with Amazon Fashion.
While many women already wear pieces from the menswear collection and the brand has dabbled within the womenswear space (Bode Aujla dressed Lorde in a custom style for the 2021 Met Gala), this marks the first official womenswear line. The collection will make its official debut during the designer’s showcase at Paris Fashion Week this Friday.
“It’s been seven years of making menswear and I’m so excited about this new part of our story,” Bode Aujla said on her Instagram. “This collection, The Crane Estate, is an exploration of my mother’s youth in the 1970s in Massachusetts.”
The designer teased pieces of the line for an interview with Vogue magazine—which styled the looks on rising musician Gracie Abrams.
If the teaser is any indication, we’re in for a treat.
