Bethann Hardison is a fashion legend, a fashion force, and now, the star of Invisible Beauty, the new, inspiring documentary film about her life and her activism.
On Monday, Hardison made her way down the Tribeca Film Festival step and repeat for the premiere of the new documentary, Invisible Beauty, in New York City. In the film, Hardison, who co-directed with Frédéric Tcheng, explores her fight on the front lines of the fashion industry for racial justice. Over more than five decades, the film depicts her journey in the industry as a model, agent, and activist, underscoring her place as a trailblazer and pioneer for diversity and inclusion.
Hardison was joined by Stephen Burrows, Norma Kamali, Aurora James, Fran Lebowitz, Iman, James Scully, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tyson Beckford, and more for the premiere. Afterwards, guests headed up a block to The Bard Room at the Hotel Chelsea, where they toasted Hardison at a cocktail hosted by Gucci.
