One merely had to look around the cool scene at Tribeca’s Bortolami Gallery, where Batsheva staged its Fall-Winter 2023 presentation, to understand the brand’s allure. The room was filled with New York Originals – Lauren Ezersky, Jordan Roth, Mandie Erickson, Kembra Pfahler, and more – all in Batsheva’s new looks, and admiringly hovering around designer Batsheva Hay. The designer pushed her ethos forward with endearing dresses and separates featuring touches with whimsy and folklore. She also presented a line of all-white dresses in signature Batsheva silhouettes for guests to write empowering notes on. An original idea by an original New Yorker.
