Back to the Future with Nick Graham & Cadillac’s Cyclone

July 9, 2018

Marc Karimzadeh

NASA is marking its 60th anniversary, and Nick Graham has a very special way to celebrate the occasion during NYFW: Men’s.

A space theme will be incorporated in the set at the designer’s presentation at Cadillac House on Tuesday – led by the 1959 Cadillac Cyclone, the radically-designed concept vehicle.

The two-seater Cyclone will be on display prominently. Its look is über-cool: inspired by the rocket and aviation designs of the 1950s and 1960s with large, twin nose cones in the front, it features, for example, a clear plastic cover allowing the driver a 360-degree vision to the doors moving out by 3 inches at the touch of a button. The Cyclone also has a radar device that scans the highway and electronically alerted drivers to objects on the road – revolutionary for the time.

If that is not enough futurism, the presentation will be set to Graham’s original song “Mission to Mars” with vocals by Buzz Aldrin, who was on the famed Apollo 11 and became the second man to set foot on the Moon.

It’s back to the future and we’re ready for take-off!
