Love Ball III is just a week away! In celebration of the return of the legendary HIV/AIDS fundraiser on June 25, the CFDA and Susanne Bartsch are excited to reveal custom trophies designed by world-renowned artists for the occasion.
Brian Donnelly (KAWS), Kenny Scharf, Lucy Dodd, Raul de Nieves, Jack Pierson, and Tony Oursler were each asked to customize and transform a six-foot tall sports trophy into a one-of-a-kind piece of art that the night’s six winners will take home.”

The custom trophies will be awarded to the winning performers in categories Head to Toe, Hair Spectacular, Beauty and Face, Move to the Groove, Show Stoppers, and Battle of the Legendary Houses.
Trophies are an integral part of ballroom culture and a symbol of pride for the houses.
Artist trophies have been an integral part of the legendary HIV/AIDS fundraiser’s history: Keith Haring, Francesco Clemente, Kenny Scharf, Donald Baechler and Julian Schnabel were behind special winner trophies for the first two Love Balls in 1989 and 1991.
“In the ballroom community the validation of our legacy and efforts comes in the form of the Grand Prize trophy,” scene fixture Jack Mizrahi stated. “We battle, we prepare, and we bring forth our most inner fierceness to be able to walk out of the function as the best in show!
