Apply Now to the Boma Jewelry Grant for BIPOC Talent

February 26, 2021

Boma Jewelry, the ethically-sourced and sustainable jewelry brand, is continuing its jewelry grant program for BIPOC talent looking to get a start in the industry.

Originally started in June 2020, the program was a direct response to the wave of social justice movements across the country. With 40 years of experience, the family-owned jewelry brand based in Seattle with production in Thailand tapped into its existing resources to offer its pathway to success for smaller, emerging minority-owned brands. The grant offers product and mentorship through design mentorship, sampling, production opportunities, and industry insight.

“While the jewelry industry is a source of immense creativity and innovation, a large part of the industry is grounded in sameness. One way that we have sought to resist this sameness is by being a vertical company who owns our production facilities and also supports the work of other brands. From our origins, we have always been invested and dedicated to building and supporting the brands of our partners as well as our own,” said CEO Suzanne Vetillart.

Applications for the second round of grand funding are open now until February 28, 2021. Winners will be announced in early March 2021. Apply here!
