The CFDA is proud to announce the 2024 Scholarship Fund recipients.
Thirty-four finalists were selected from 320 applicants to present their work to the various 2024 CFDA Scholarship Fund selection committees. The finalists’ presentations took place at the end of August, and 11 fashion students are receiving scholarships this year.

Esteemed CFDA members and industry figures served on the selection committees. They included Emma Gage (Melke NYC), Gigi Burris O’Hara (Gigi Burris Millinery & Closely Crafted), John Bartlett (John Bartlett NY), Jonathan Cohen (Jonathan Cohen Studio), Julie Gilhart (Fashion Consultant & Advisor), K.C. Hurst (Crystal Bridges Museum of America & The Momentary), Michelle Ochs (Et Ochs & Hervé Léger), Nick Sullivan (Esquire), Robert Geller (rag & bone), Sami Miró (Sami Miro Vintage), Steven Kolb (CFDA), Taofeek Abijako (Head of State NY), Timo Weiland, and Todd Snyder (Todd Snyder New York).
The Selection Committee awarded the CFDA Design Scholar Awards to Alison Prada from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Brielle Ohlsen from Marist College, recognized for their impactful design work in the DEI category. The Selection Committee awarded the CFDA Design Scholar Awards to Elizabeth Lawson from the Savannah College of Art and Design and Qi He from Parsons School of Design for their innovative approach in the Sustainability category.
The CFDA x Crystal Bridges Heartland Scholar Awards celebrate Catalina Torres from Parsons School of Design by way of Louisiana, Hollis Maxson from the Savannah College of Art and Design by way of Kentucky, Joelle Olabode from Columbia College Chicago, Laurence Wei from Parsons School of Design by way of Texas, and Zahra Najafi from Kent State University.
Samandina Francois from Drexel University received this prestigious award in recognition of her personal approach to shape + form and outstanding design mastery.
This year saw the launch of the Nick Sullivan and CFDA Menswear Design Scholarship. It celebrates Nick Sullivan’s remarkable 20-year career with Esquire and was designed to support undergraduate juniors enrolled in fashion design programs at American colleges or universities who exhibit talent and creativity in menswear design. The inaugural Nick Sullivan and CFDA Menswear Design Scholarship was awarded to Bao Pham from the Savannah College of Art and Design for his exceptional work in menswear and professional potential.
