Andrew Kwon is always one to keep us on our toes. In an intimate surprise runway show at Genesis House which closed New York Fashion Week: Bridal, the interim CFDA member unveiled a bridal collection that intertwines the essence of the red carpet with beauty of matrimonial bliss.
It’s a natural step and progression for Kwon, who has recently graced international carpets dressing stars like Lucy Liu, Constance Wu, Lana Condor, Ashley Park, and Regina King.
A highlight of the collection was a piece that required over 200 hours of embroidery, and brand signatures like tulle tiered gowns, diverse chiffons, and draped capes. Fresh off his run as an inaugural CFDA | Genesis House AAPI Design + Innovation Grant finalist, Kwon continues to build on his emerging journey as one to watch.
“This collection, rooted in the essence of my brand’s beginnings in bridal, pays homage to the iconic figures and brides who have embraced my creations,” he said. “Collection 8 is imbued with light, emotion, and enchantment, destined to resonate with all who experience it.”
