It wouldn’t be the CFDA Fashion Awards without our powerful and inspiring honorees.

We are delighted to reveal this year’s honorees, starting with the Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti International Award, which goes to Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Garavani and Giammetti are generously underwriting the International Award through their foundation, the non-profit Fondazione Valentino Garavani e Giancarlo Giammetti which is focused on charity and the promotion of culture and art.

The Positive Change Award will be presented to CFDA member Eileen Fisher for her commitment to sustainability.

Stylist, editor and fashion force Carine Roitfeld will receive the Founder’s Award in honor of CFDA’s own founder Eleanor Lambert.

And the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard goes to fashion editor and writer Lynn Yaeger.

More honorees will be announced in the coming weeks.

“The CFDA Fashion Awards celebrate the outstanding creativity in American fashion,” CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb said. “There will be exciting changes to this year’s awards, and we are honored to have Valentino and Giancarlo Giammetti join us as we name the International Award.”

The Awards will take place at the Brooklyn Museum on June 3rd.
