Alina Cho Talk at The Met to Feature Proenza Schouler

August 8, 2017

Marc Karimzadeh

In the four seasons since launching her Atelier with Alina Cho series, the much-loved broadcast journalist and Editor-at-Large at Ballantine Bantam Dell has interviewed Alber Elbaz, Anna Wintour, Diane von Furstenberg, Olivier Rousteing, Donatella Versace, and Alexanger Wang. Next up are Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler—two CFDA Members who launched their label 15 years ago, won the inaugural CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2004, and since received five CFDA Fashion Awards in the Womenswear and Designer of the Year categories.

Cho is expected a grill the designers on their decision to juggling their personal and professional relationships, their inspirations and the recent decision to show their collections in Paris timed with the haute couture collections there.

“The clothes or the designers?!” Cho said when asked about her fascination with the next subject. “I’ve long been a fan of Proenza Schouler and though I’ve seen Jack and Laz socially, I’ve never had the opportunity to interview them. They don’t grant many interviews, so this is one I’m really looking forward to!”

The conversation is set for Thursday, October 12, at 7:00 p.m. at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Click here for tickets and information.

As for Cho, she already thought of one surprising style question she is dying to ask the duo: “Boxers or briefs?”

We can’t wait to find out!
