Multi-hyphenated artist, entrepreneur, and actor A$AP Rocky will receive the Fashion Icon award at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion.

The Harlem-born rapper redefined what it means to merge artistry with design. In 2025, he became the first-ever Creative Director of Ray-Ban, debuting a “Blacked Out” reinterpretation of the brand’s Mega Icons line. Simultaneously, he continues his partnership with PUMA, where his Fall/Winter 2025 capsule, “Built on Jazz in the Concrete Jungle,” paid tribute to Harlem’s musical heritage and the city that shaped him.
Rocky’s creative imprint extends through AWGE, his multidisciplinary agency founded in 2014. What began as a collective of artists and designers has evolved into one of fashion’s most intriguing cultural laboratories. In recent years, AWGE has launched partnerships with Marine Serre, Amina Muaddi, JW Anderson, and Selfridges, as well as conceptual collaborations with MTV and Needles. The brand’s Paris Men’s Fashion Week runway debut in 2024 and its sophomore show earlier this year cemented Rocky’s presence as a collaborator and designer.
This spring, as Co-Chair of the 2025 Met Gala, Rocky arrived in a custom AWGE-designed suit—a sharp reinterpretation of classic tailoring that echoed his experimental yet elevated approach to fashion. It was a full-circle moment for the artist who has been featured in campaigns for Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Dior, Moncler, and Calvin Klein.
The 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
