Trust Alan Cumming to be the hostess with the mostest or, rather, the host with the most.

On Monday, the American Apparel & Footwear Association celebrated its 39th American Image Awards with the actor and performer as emcee. Cumming provided the night’s lighthearted banter, adding to the event’s great success.

The gala dinner at 583 Park Avenue recognized the best of the industry. The night’s honorees were Andrew Rosen, Founder and CEO of Theory (Person of the Year); Marc Fisher Footwear (Company of the Year); Stuart Vevers of Coach, Inc. (Designer of the Year); Nick Graham (Fashion Maverick); and Ed Nardoza (Lifetime Achievement Award).

The annual gala event benefitted the CFDA’s Fashion Manufacturing Initiative (FMI) this year, a partnership the CFDA is greatly proud of.

“The CFDA and AAFA are aligned on efforts to support the fashion and apparel industry,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. “Thanks to the AAFA and all those who attended, the CFDA will be able to further expand the Fashion Manufacturing Initiative (FMI) and build a more extensive ecosystem of manufacturing throughout the entire city of New York.”

The night’s attendees included actors Emma Roberts and Evan Peters, Nikki Taylor, model Dilone, Bill Nye and CFDA Members Kenneth Cole, who introduced Rosen, Stan Herman, Jeffrey Banks, Michelle Smith, Stacey Bendet Eisner, Norma Kamali, who introduced Nardoza, and Ruthie Davis.
