dear fellow designers…

the summer is over…
our seersucker is put away for another season…
the us open is over…
another fashion week is here…
i am so excited to see what you all have to say…

sometimes I feel like I repeat myself…
but…
simply, please create unique stories and share your voices with the world…
uncompromisingly…
remind everyone that true creativity still exists…
and it is at its highest level here…
in new york…
that no idea is too big or too small…
important conversations can be brought to the foreground and not forgotten…
and, no mater where you are in your journey, you’re doing this because there is nothing else you could image yourself doing…
something so important that the world feels…
is going to feel…
or, doesn’t know that they will be feeling…

we all had the privilege of witnessing greatness at the us open…

carlos alcaraz…
so inspiring…
they remind me of the pressure we put on ourselves and the privilege we have to do so…
billie jean king may have originally said this but I get to experience this first hand every day…
you all get to experience this every day in what you are doing…
watching aryna and carlos win their titles was a reminder that anything is possible…
that it takes hard work and tenacity…
that we shouldn’t limit ourselves because of how the world may perceive us…
and that everything we do and say must be first for us…
and then the world…

challenge people…
create interesting concepts and ideas…
create unique shapes…
create important conversations…
be humble…
and show grace…
appreciate each other and ones work…
have fun…
and, I say this every season, scare yourself a little bit…
