“Excited and relieved!” Todd Snyder was describing his current state mere minutes after showing his spring 2018 collection on Monday night at Cadillac House in Tribeca. The crowd had spilled over into the adjacent room for the post-show bash, which many considered the unofficial kickoff party for New York Fashion Week: Men’s. “It’s an amazing feeling to have industry leaders like Nick Wooster, Bruce Pask, Jim Moore, and Steven Kolb viewing a collection that I started working on six months ago,” Snyder offered. “They all have been so supportive of my work and it means the world to me that they even come.”
Others who came? Andre3000, Eric West, Matt Bomer and Sean O’Pry, spiffy in their Todd Snyder suiting. “It is always humbling,” the designer continued.
Then, a few minutes into the party, Snyder was off to catch a flight to Milan to work on fall 2018. Fashion never stops.
