Sunday’s chic presentation at Diane von Furstenberg’s – one filled with vibrant color, animal and other prints, and that certain joie de vivre that our Chairwoman is known for – was a true family affair. Not only did Nathan Jenden, who had designed the label for 10 years before leaving in 2010, mark his return to DVF, but von Furstenberg’s granddaughter Talita also made her debut as the muse of the house.
TVF has had fashion running through her blue blood practically since the day she was born. She is the daughter of Alexandre von Furstenberg and Alexandra Miller, who once worked for DVF. The Georgetown freshman didn’t just inherit DVF’s fashion sense, but also her charisma and those good looks. No wonder that Jenden, who has known TVF since she was a little girl, looked to her in the creative process. “DVF and TVF are both inspirational women across generations—beautiful, brave, and ready for anything,” he said.
As for TVF, she was excited about the collaboration with Jenden. “My first memorable moment in fashion was from when I was 9,” she recalled. “I worked with Nathan for a week on a fashion show at Pitti in Florence. I grew up with DVF, it’s always inspired me, and I’m ready to jump in again.”
