Leave it to Grace Ling to discover a hidden gem, a commercial space just steps from Hudson Yards, to call home for her New York City flagship store. Located on the sixth floor, the designer’s brick and mortar is a journey into her surrealist universe, sleek and futuristic with dark and light shadow play, just like her clothes.
An extension of Ling’s artistic vision, the store blurs the boundaries between fashion, sculpture and conceptual design, with a brutalist-style pebble leather couch seating installation made from scratch with an appearance of dark oblong stones as centerpiece by Room–File, a collective renowned for its boundary-pushing spatial artistry.

The lighting throughout the space exudes a futuristic serenity, bathing the store in a warm, hypnotic glow in suspended spaceship-looking lamps by Eden Design, whose innovative modular track lighting system highlights every garment on the racks. This tailored system ensures each sculptural piece is illuminated to perfection, creating an interplay of light and shadow that mirrors the brand’s sensual silhouettes.
Ling’s inspirations were filmmakers Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson for their surrealism and attention to detail. When you step into the space, it appears minimalist, but when you look into the details, you begin to discover the hidden details within Grace Ling’s store and clothes.
Being close to Hudson Yards also means Ling has access to her artisans in New York City’s Garment District, where she works out of to produce garments.
It also means that her highly-coveted pieces will be able to be seen by VIP stylists, Hollywood A-listers, and fans of her viral clothes in person, and important experience for Ling. For her couture clientele, the store also works for appointments to fit private clients to make bespoke pieces.
“Opening this flagship is not just about creating a retail presence—it’s about building a home for Grace Ling, a place where customers can fully immerse themselves in the brand and leave inspired,” said Ling.
