Four exceptional talents were just crowned the best American designers of the year at at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion.

The American Womenswear Designer of the Year award went to Rachel Scott of Diotima.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph presented Scott, who was the 2023 Google Shopping American Emerging Designer of the Year, with the top award.

Willy Chavarria was named American Menswear Designer of the Year.

Troye Sivan announced Chavarria the win.

This is the second consecutive year the designer is taking home this prestigious award.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie announced Raul Lopez of Luar as the American Accessory Designer of the Year.

Lopez first won in this category in 2022.

Finally, Henry Zankov of Zankov won the Google Shopping American Emerging Designer of the Year trophy, which Molly Gordon and Brandon Maxwell presented to the designer.

The event took place at the American Museum of Natural History and was hosted by Tony, Emmy, Grammy winner and Academy Award nominated Cynthia Erivo.

Highlights included CFDA Chairman Thom Browne‘s welcome remarks; U.S. Senator for New York Kirsten Gillibrand reminding guests to exercise their right to vote; French singer Yseult performing the song “MTV” from her new album “Mental;” a film directed by Nian Fish which captured American fashion highlights of the past year, and President of Amazon Fashion Jenny Freshwater introducing the Innovation Award Presented by Amazon Fashion.

For honorees, Erykah Badu was named Fashion Icon, presented by André 3000.

The Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert was presented to Hamish Bowles by Marc Jacobs.

Molly Ringwald presented the newly-renamed Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute to Isabel Toledo. Ruben Toledo accepted the award on behalf of his late wife.

The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Stephen Burrows by Donna Karan and Todd Oldham.

Charles Melton and Kelsea Ballerini gave the Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion to Coach for Coachtopia. Creative Director Stuart Vevers accepted the award on behalf of the brand.

Blake Lively presented Michael Kors with the Positive Change Award.

Anna Wintour presented Annie Leibovitz with the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard.

Amy Griffin gave the International Award to Daniel Roseberry of Schiaparelli.
