Charlotte Ronson claims to be shy and soft-spoken but her design aesthetic evidently speaks loud and clear to her loyal following. She was always driven to turn her love for fashion into her career, and because of her ambition, she was able to make that dream a reality. Her mother Anne Dexter-Jones’s encouragement to have discipline has been a useful tool throughout her career. Ronson draws inspiration from women who stand up for what they believe. We caught up with the new mom to find out how women have impacted her life.
Did you always know that you wanted to work in the Fashion Industry?
I have always loved fashion, so I would say yes. It was always my ambition to make my hobby a career.
What words of wisdom did a significant female figure share with you in your life?
My mother always encouraged discipline and I think it’s been an extremely useful tool in business and life. I have always known the importance of focus, dedication and hard work.
What in your life has brought or given you the greatest satisfaction or fulfillment?
My son. He is my world.
Women’s roles in society have changed dramatically over the past several decades. How have these changes had a personal impact on you?
I have always been pretty shy and soft-spoken. I am inspired by women who speak their mind with a strong point of view. I’ve learned over the years to take more control of my own business and stand up for myself. I think we’ve come a long way. I’ve personally come a long way but we still have a long way to go.
What future goals do you have for yourself?
I want to diversify my business and always evolve.
