Diane von Furstenberg Hits Target with Special Collaboration

Diane von Furstenberg, who is celebrating five decades of the wrap dress that empowered women in America and around the world, has another surprise up her sartorial sleeve: a special collaboration with Target.

For a limited time only, the American retailer will offer a Diane von Furstenberg for Target collection of styles true to DVF’s ethos, from wrap dresses to prints and patterns for women’s, girls’ and baby clothing as well as accessories, beauty, and home. The lion’s share of the offering is priced from $4-$50, though made-to-order furniture pieces, such as headboards, benches and room dividers in seven exclusive fabrics, start at $300.

The designs are a collaboration between von Furstenberg and her equally cool granddaughter, Talita, who is also the co-chairwoman of the Diane von Furstenberg brand.

“Every collection we create is about making women feel confident so they can be the women they want to be,” Diane von Furstenberg said. “Talita and I are proud to partner with Target to extend that invitation to even more women who want to experience timeless pieces that bring effortless glamour and empowerment to their everyday lives.”

The fabulous looks will cull from the DVF archive for prints, patterns, and more of the designer’s ethos which is inspired by nature, women and art. There will also be plenty of new motifs for matching mommy-and-me designs from activewear to loungewear and intimates.

“Our partnership with Diane and Talita von Furstenberg represents Target at our best — curating an amazing and distinct assortment and offering it at exceptional prices,” said Jill Sando, who serves as Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of apparel & accessories, home and hardlines. “Guests will fall in love with this inspiring and broad collection. There’s so much to spark joy, just in time for new spring looks — available only at Target.”

The collection will launch in most Target stores and on Target.com on March 23rd, but fans can get a sneak peek at a public event at The Shed in New York’s Hudson Yards from March 15th-16th.
