Dao-Yi Chow, who sits on CFDA’s Board of Directors, was just announced as Vice President and Creative Director for New Era Cap, LLC, the global leader in headwear.

In his new role, Chow will oversee the creation and development of the brand’s first apparel line called Brand New Era. The line’s new launch, set for later this year, will also include headwear and accessories. Chow’s immediate focus will be on leading design while also overseeing merchandising and marketing.

“New Era is a cultural icon and categorically the grail of headwear. We have an unbelievable archive of innovation and product that has yet to be fully explored. To sit at the helm of a new direction for the brand that will complement its 100-year history in caps is an exciting task. It is truly a full-circle moment, not only is New Era my cap of choice, but it was also the foundation of the headwear partnership for Public School at the time we launched our ‘We Need Leaders’ campaign. To be back with the team is exciting and I’m looking forward to introducing Brand New Era apparel to the world,” said Chow of his new appointment.
