How Resale Complements, Rather Than Competes With New Collections

October 9, 2025

The rise of the resale market has reshaped the fashion industry, creating new possibilities and  new questions for designers and brands. While once perceived as a challenge to traditional retail,  the resale economy is increasingly proving itself to be a complementary force, extending the  lifecycle of luxury products, expanding customer reach, and reinforcing brand value in a  changing marketplace.

Rather than cannibalizing sales or diluting exclusivity, resale  can elevate the desirability of current-season offerings, provide valuable customer insight, and  support a more sustainable business model.
