As part of the CFDA’s ongoing commitment to support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, the CFDA hosted a virtual conversation on Decarbonizing Events in the Fashion Industry.
Sacha Brown, (Director of Professional Development, CFDA), was joined by Lindsay Arell (Sustainability Strategist, Honeycomb Strategies) and Nathan Whitton (Co-Founder and Executive Producer, Nazar Agency).
The industry experts discussed solutions and improvements that event producers, agencies, and brands can make in reducing their carbon emissions.
“The most important and fist step is to begin communicating with your suppliers and begin to rack your event’s impact,” Arell says.
The greatest obstacle, Whitton added, “comes in having a 360 conversation — making sure everyone is on the same page, from brands, to agencies, to suppliers.”
