Hosted by CFDA Director of Professional Development Sacha Brown, we continue our conversation with Georg Dauterman, President of Valiant Technology as we discuss tangible steps to take action in the event of an online cyber attack. 

Dauterman expanded on the approach a business should take in the event of a cyber breach. During such an occurrence, a company can lose access to data and no longer be able to operate the business, service customers, or take care of staff. It is imperative to take the network offline and start an immediate response with the IT service provider, corporate counsel, insurance carrier, and possibly law enforcement. Dauterman reiterates in the conversation the importance of localizing potential risk and believes “prevention is the best cure.”
